Sunshine Plaza serves as the main entrance gate to Disney’s California Adventure. In theory, this area is the home to the general guests services of the park, much in the same way that Main Street, U.S.A. provides a functional service to Disneyland Park. As part of the on-going renovation, Sunshine Plaza is, for the most part, being leveled and rebuilt as the park’s new main entrance land, Buena Vista Street, set to open in 2011. From now until then, the conversion of Sunshine Plaza will happen one side at a time, keeping half of the plaza open as the main entry / exit point from the park.
